Sunshine, trails and a square full of energy: the first Archi Trail was a success for sport, participation and community.
On Sunday 4 October, Archi enjoyed a wonderful day. Fine weather welcomed runners, walkers and spectators, with a strong turnout and a warm community atmosphere. From the trails to Piazza G. Marconi, the first Archi Trail — Memorial Mario and Claudio Massa — brought sport and togetherness to the village.
A route through our landscape.
Organised by A.S.D. Tribù Run Lanciano, with Pro Loco Archi and the patronage of the Municipality, the event took participants through a unique setting. Mirco Di Carlantonio carefully designed the route with Massimo Troilo’s help, while attention to detail made the day a success.
Sport, remembrance and affection.
The event was championed by Nicola De Laurentiis, a Tribù Run athlete and the mayor of Archi. Its meaning went beyond sport: Elisa chose to honour Mario and Claudio, her son and husband. The Memorial brought the community together around their memory.
Special thanks go to Valentino Gentilezza, a Tribù Run athlete and president of Pro Loco Archi, for his logistical support and contribution to the event.
A generous welcome.
Rich prizes and a generous finish-line refreshment spread turned the square into a celebration: a pasta party, draught beer, pizza, cakes, bananas and porchetta sandwiches welcomed everyone who chose to join us.
The race results.
La Serra Pardo won the men’s race, followed by Andrea Paradisi and Nicola Caffi. Mariana Mitrofanschi won the women’s race, ahead of Daniela Romilio and Luisella Masciangelo.
